Terms of Service
Last updated June 19, 2026
These terms apply when you use the Nirra app, the Nirra website, and any related services. By downloading or using Nirra you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Important. Nirra is a nutrition tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian, and not a diagnosis or treatment. Use it as one input alongside professional care, especially if you have a health condition.
1. Who can use Nirra
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your country, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms.
- The accuracy of the profile you enter is up to you. Better inputs mean better calorie targets and Personal Fit verdicts.
- You are responsible for the device you use and for keeping it secure, since your Nirra data lives on it.
2. No account
Nirra does not use accounts. There is no sign in, no password, and no profile held on our servers. You use the app as a guest, and everything you enter — your profile, meals, history, and logs — is stored on your device. Nothing to create, nothing to lock you out.
3. What you can do with Nirra
- Use it for personal, non commercial nutrition tracking.
- Log your meals, build recipes, configure your profile, and view your history and trends.
- Use the AI nutrition chat to ask questions about your scans.
- Delete any entry, or wipe all of your data, at any time from Settings.
4. What you cannot do
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the app or any of its services.
- Resell access to Nirra, mass extract our food database, or use Nirra to power a competing product.
- Use Nirra to make medical decisions for someone else without their consent.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights, is unlawful, or attempts to harm Nirra or other users.
- Probe, attack, or interfere with our infrastructure or with other people's use of the service.
- Use bots, automation, or scrapers to access the service.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Some features are available through a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store you bought from is responsible for billing, taxes, refunds, and cancellation.
- Free trials. Where offered, a trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Renewals. Subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Refund eligibility is set by Apple or Google. We can advocate on your behalf, but the final decision rests with the store.
6. Health information and accuracy
Nirra estimates calories, macros, and micronutrients from photos, voice descriptions, barcodes, and ingredient labels. Estimates can be wrong. Personal Fit verdicts are guidance based on the profile you provide. They are not medical advice.
- If you have a serious dietary condition such as a severe allergy, diabetes, kidney disease, or an eating disorder, work with a healthcare professional. Treat Nirra as a journal, not a doctor.
- Do not rely on Nirra to confirm whether a packaged food contains an allergen. Always read the actual label on the packaging.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Nirra: your profile, photos, voice transcripts, recipes, and notes. It stays on your device. When you run a scan, you give us a limited licence to process the photo, audio, or text you submit for the sole purpose of returning that result. We do not use your content to train third party AI models.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. By using Nirra you also agree to that policy.
9. Service availability and changes
We work to keep Nirra running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may update, change, or remove features over time. If we materially reduce functionality you have paid for, we will tell you and give you a way to cancel for a fair refund.
10. Termination
You can stop using Nirra at any time by deleting your data and removing the app. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing for us to suspend, but we may block access to our backend services, such as AI scanning, for anyone who abuses them, attacks our infrastructure, or violates these terms.
11. Disclaimers
Nirra is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or perfectly accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nirra and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We will update these terms when we change something meaningful. The "Last updated" date will change and we will notify you in the app or by email for material changes. If you keep using Nirra after a change, you accept the updated terms.
